Forment a sound with them. Trying to get a official look into the natural areas. [K adds later: “Forment” is not a word, but “foment” means to foster into being. Then the term “formant” is more applicable here. A formant a core concept in phonetics and acoustics, an acoustic resonance of the human vocal tract that results in concentrations of sound energy at specific frequencies, which are essential for distinguishing different speech sounds, particularly vowels. Formants are essentially the natural resonant frequencies of the air column in your mouth and throat (the vocal tract).
